Howdy Dave --
I use the 2" Hackler to uncap low spots missed by the electric uncapping knife. It could be used as the only uncapping tool, but extractor must be run a little slower because the cap is not entirely removed.

A plastic pie server and the two inch Honey Punch are the only two tools I use to uncap with. And since I am only using Permacomb for my extracted honey, it's all I need. Using PC, I can extract at maximum speed with my 9/18, starting slow to equalize and steadily increasing to max speed.
One of my winter projects is to shim inbetween the spurs to the exact spacing for PC.
Quite frankly it would be a tough job for me without the Honey Punch.

I find them useful for low capped PermaComb. Otherwise I prefer a knife. They tend to clog up a lot when trying to do regular comb.
