Today I used the "smoker fuel" (that is sold to go with the propane smoker) in my bonide fogger and it worked fine. It did not have an unpleasant smell like burning pine straw does. It was so nice to just point and shoot whenever I wanted. Will report later on longer term results.

I bought a few 55 lbs bag of wood pellets at RONA yesterday for 4$.

For the time it takes to prep smoker fuel, I just got a years worth of smoke for 12$

Ian;

Take a propane torch with you to light the pellets they take a long time to get started. The soft pine pellets light easier than the hard douglas fur or hardwood ones.

I'm with Ishi on this one. They can be a bugger
to get going. I toss a Kingsford or two in with
them.

Tried some, starting them with a couple balled up papers. Great smoke!!

But I am guessing, they will not light so great when in the yard
