Has any one out there built a wax cappings spinner? Or have built or have used baskets placed in an extractor to spin out honey from wet cappings?
I used to see baskets available long ago in the catalogs but not lately. I have a Keley wax melter but would like to recover the honey with out heating it.

The "salad spinner" approach works well, but
you really need a motorized extractor to
make it work at ambient temperature.
Yeah, you COULD get enough rpm out of a
hand-cranker, but you are going to get
tired long before you get all the honey
out that you could. When I spin cappings,
I turn the speed control "all the way up
to warp 11".
I'd like to know more about this; I have a 35 pound machine (saved it for parts while in laundromat business) that's missing some stuff but still has the motor, drive system intact. thought about trying to make it into a radial extractor but the drum's too small (diameter & depth) for frames.
