Anyone have any experience with a parallel radial extractor? How would you compare them with a normal radial? I'm thinking of a 20-30 frame size.

Phil

Try Cowan Manufacturing. The parallel/radial is supposed to be easier on the frames.

Hi Phil,
I have always been intriged with the design.
Several companies 9 Maxant, Cook, and Cowan still sell them in the US. Other companies that produced them have are no longer in business.
These extractors are more robust, easier to load, easier to clean and take up less room. But they are also more expensive to build. I think that's why most extractors sold are of the other kind.

Dennis
I was just wondering about this; What are the differences in practical terms between loading and using a parallel extractor and a radial when I came across this old thread. Anyone have any more thoughts?
