I had the fun of putting together my first beehive today. Took about twice as long as I figured it would, but everything went smoothly. Then I said to myself, I have to put HOW MANY frames together? Yikes! Such is the labor of love I suppose Makes the preassembled equipment seem like a bargain.

Anyways, I only have to put together the bottom board, hive stand, and telescoping cover. I have a few different sized nails left and I'm not sure which to use where and how many to use. Can anybody who has put a standard kit together lend a hand? Thanks in advance

    Greetings Branman,

Take a look at the following 2003 catalogs:
    . . . Mann Lake, page 18
    . . . Walter T Kelley, page 13

Both explain which nails go where.

    Good Luck!

For assembling the frames you might want
to download these plans and build the frame jig. Sure does making frames easier and a whole lot faster.
