When I was a kid in wood shop, we used a glue which came as a powder. When mixed with water, it became an extremely strong and waterproof glue which we used on all of our projects, including model sailboats. I have been trying to find a glue of this type in all of the hardware and lumber stores here in N.W. Misery, but the clerks look blank and say they never heard of anything like it.
Does anyone know whether this type of wood glue is still produced, and if so, where to buy it?
