Has anyone had experience using the IPM/Screened Bottom Boards with the Slatted Bottom Rack. I was wondering if the slatted rack would impair the screen bottom board's ability to control mites. Any insights?

I just set up eight two hive screened bottom pallets, with notched slatted racks as the entrance. I saw mites on the catch pan within 24 hours. Probably some fall on the slats of the slatted rack. There were at least 200 dead mites in the pan of a medium strength hive within two days of placing apistan strips. The slats of the rack cover more than 50% of the bottom of the hive, so either there is that percentage of corpses sitting on top of the slats, or maybe the bees push them down. Would need mini video camera to do the study.
