    does anyone know how I can open ports (2300-2400) on this puter or does it have to opened by Internet service provider, I have DSL, if anyone knows how can you explain how this is done???

    The dock workers union recently closed the San Francisco port by slowing down their work. Personally I think our ports are too open. If a nuclear bomb gets delivered here it will be through our ports. They wouldn't have to unload it just detonate it on the dock.

    What type of router and/or DSL modem are you using? What operating system are you using? Do you know if you are using DHCP or Static IP address resolution?

    It is a little different for each setup, if you can answer the previous questions I may be able to help.

    I would suggest going to http://www.portforward.com. It has a extensive list on routers and other things that you would have to get to (software wise) to open up those ports.
