I RAISE QUEENS BUT USE NUCS BUT HAVE HEARD OF AN INCUBATOR THAT YOU CAN BUY THAT HOLDS HUNDREDS OF CELLS WITH DIVIDERS INCASE ONE IS BORN EARLY. CAN SOME ONE TELL ME HOW TO BUILD ONE OF THESE AND WHAT THE BENEFITS OF THIS WOULD BE. IT JUST DOESNT SEEM LIKE IT WOULD BE USEFUL BUT I COULD BE WRONG.
I personally like the nursery cages since it allows me to keep the cells located in the apiary and DOESN'T require any electricity. The frame simply hangs in the hive and humidity and temperature is precisely controlled by the bees...what could be better?
They're not on the market, so you'll have to make your own or get someone handy to make them for you.
They work great! I don't even use an electric incubator anymore.
Michael included a link to my web site on the previous post(Thanks Michael!), but I'll include it again.
