Anyone here ever purchased queens from Kona Queen?
If so, were you satified, how was the temperment, brood pattern, production, etc.

Haven't got them there personally but have heard that the stock is good from others.

Dont expect them to be even the slightest bit varroa resistant, there are no varroa in hawaii. I had two Kona hives, and they died in their first winter due to varroa.

They don't do too good on the desert here also in S. Arizona by those trying them. Too big for our hot climate too!
