    hi,
    can i use salt wheels crush up and put them in my grease patties,
    the ingredients is salt,white mineral oil as in the wheels you put in the pet rabbit Hutch ,

    Just being inquisitive here Tony350i , why would you want to do that? I don't have any idea why is the reason I ask.

    hello power napper

    so i under stand that mineral salt mixed in the patties can help knock down the v mites, more so when there is no brood,
    but i might have got it wrong that is why i'm asking,

    I've heard of people putting the mineral salt in the patties. I have not heard of it doing anything to the Varroa.

    I can well imagine the wintergreen knocking down mites (I seem to remember that it's been tried before) but I don't see what effect the salt would have on them.
