I'm looking to order a few packages of cordovan Italian bees for April/04. I've heard good thing about McCary's stock, but I'm uneasy about him coming through. I remember reading about a woman in Ohio who was breeding/selling cordovan's but I can't remember her name. Does anyone know if a reliable source of cordovan's. thanks , cj

If a bee club or other supplier gets a truck load of packages in it's usually far cheaper than paying the shipping on a package. For the money you save, you could probably buy 10 cordovan queens from McCarry after the spring rush and requeen and still probably save money. I got 10 for $70 in the summer last year.

    MB,
I should have thought of that myself. Seems like a sensable way to go about it (guess that's why I did'nt). Thanks, cj
