    I plan on wintering 5 to 10 5 frame styrofoam nucs this winter here in N.H.
    any advice or idea on this would be welcomed.

    I can't speak for NH but even here in Ga I would make sure to have plenty of food stores.

    Let us know how you do.

    My guess is, they'll starve to death. But it'll be interesting to see how it turns out - let us know.

    I winter nucs with out any problem here in central Georgia, they only use a couple frames of honey. I do start feeding arund the 3rd week of January and we seldom have a cold snap to last more than 4 or 5 days and we always have smoething blooming even if it is just wild turnips. Had to add those disclaimers, I would imagine it will be much more challenging for you way up north.
