Bee's working on Bamboo??

Hi,, I'm new to the forum,and beekeeping as this is my third year coming up.. I'm curious
as what nutritional value bamboo has for the bee's I noticed behind my in-laws house that they are working this and was wondering,If it is for pollen or Nectar??

I'm not sure about it either but I was thinking you could just look at the legs of the bees when they are on the flower and try to see if they have pollen on their back legs.
