I have access to several thousand pounds of sugar but it has 3-4% dry creamer in it. They use the sugar to clean out the lines but are tossing it out because of the creamer. If I mix it for spring feed do you think the creamer will matter? Any thoughts?

If your bees are still feeding, try this experiment.

Pull out capped frames and replace with empty drawn frames. Feed with the sugar in question and see if they make it through the winter. If they do, then it should be fine to feed it. Creamers I believe are mostly dairy fats so there are likely some milk sugars mixed in. I donÂ’t think milk sugar is good for bees but the amount should be minimum.

You could always clean it using a method similar to pollen but that is a lot of sugar.

i will wait till spring to make sure. I can not risk losing 300 hives if this does not overwinter on it.
