Without sounding caviler, try using the search feature. That topic has been beat to death around here. There are some great home made units using old 5 gallon buckets and recycled shop vac and there's a fancy plywood unit off of the plans page.
I modified the plans on this site under "plans".
What is nice about building your own is that you can modify it to suit your needs. Mine weighs approx 15# and the capture insert fits right over my hives so all I do is slide the bottom out, I cut slots into the sides to use a 1/4" bottom that just fits. My vac is a seperate part all together so its four parts-my vac-the vac box-and two capture boxes. I use three seperate hoses, that way I can set the vac 7' away from the vac box and have 14' of tube to use, belive me when I say I've had to use all 14' to access a hive before.
