Very nice pictures!!! What kind of camera is she usen' ?

I have been tryin to take pics of my bees, but my camera just doesn't like doing the close up of little things. I have a good 35mm I need to get the shutter fixed on, it will do those kind of close ups.

thanks rooster...it's a canon a75 powershot...your basic point and shoot digital camera...here's a link to amazon where you can read more about it:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001G6U4S/qid=1085970768/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/104-5054147-6407107?v=glance&s=electronics&n=507846

it does have pretty reasonable macro capabilities but trust me she takes a ton of pictures to get a few good/great shots. it has a manual focus that we are learning how to use with the macro setting which should help some...in auto mode it just takes too long at times to focus before shooting which causes us to lose good bee feeding shots.

i'm seriously considering getting a digital SLR (right now i'm focused on the Nikon D-70) for the manual macro capabilities.

glad you enjoyed the pictures...let me know if you have more questions.

Your photos look a little like they could come from around San Bernadito County. I lived in Simi Valley for about twenty years. I had a friend who lives in San Fernando Valley visit a couple of years ago and sent back a card showing the smog in the valley. He worot on the card "how can you trust air that you can't see". They even get smog in Simi Valley now.
Have a great week.
