    Hi Guys
Had a thunderstorm come thru this evening and took the top off of one of my hives, during that time we got about an inch of rain. What can i expect now? Will i lose this hive, or do hives survive this type of stuff well?
    Thanks
    Tony

Assuming the top is back on and with a larger brick on top, What was the temperature wwhen the top was off and what breed of bees do you have?

If they don't swarm, they should make it. a disturbance like this could cause a swarm and may be one of those incidences where you might consider a queen excluder under the brood bottom box just long enough to prevent it.

Remember these posts are to give you the reasons I think these things and let you decide. Please dont put an excluder on for the rest of the year and then sue me. lol
