what do honeybees get from manure?

I have five hives this spring,and a large composted manure pile(for the garden)about 200 yards from them.Over the last several weeks I have observed them in mass,on this pile in the moist areas madly foraging.What are they getting from here?Thanks for any input,just curious...JOHN

John: I have observed this numerous times growing up on a farm in Pa. They are after salts in the urea.
