Hi all im new and have been lurking here and reading for about a year now... i have my first honey crop (5 1/2 supers) and i am going to bottle it myself... in 12oz mostly and 24oz containers... i was wondering what price i should sell them for? does local honey go for a premium? i was guessing $3 for the 12's and $5 or $6 for the 24's. oh ya the honey is orange/wildflower. The orange is really clear too.
thanks!
that's about what it would go for in our area---midwest. I would thhink you might be able to get a little more in your area especially since you have a specific variety.
Just plain wildflower around here goes for that. I agree you could probably get more for the orange/wildflower. Especially if it's very distictive in taste.
Hi all: I'd go around my area & compare the price, then go from there, you don't want to price yourself out.but in the mean while don't under price once people learn's you & it's local honey you want have any problem's selling it.
This year I am selling honey in pint jars (1.5lb) as follows:
Orange Blossom $5
Palmetto $6
Strawberry/Orange Blossom $7.50
Blackberry/Wildflower $7.50
