Anyone have experience with DE Hives

Well keep you informed on their progress. My geographical location is Western North Carolina in the Appalachan Mountain Chain. Winters are from mild to several days of extreme cold. Nothing like Canada, where the hive kit was designed for.

Thanks people for all the discussion on the topic of DE hives and ventilation. I 'm a new beekeeper and part of the fun has been to make some of the equiptment. I've made my own SBB and I'm working on the inner cover and the ventilation under the outer cover. Thanks again for your discussion it has helped reading your comments.. Eich
