I am new to beekeeping having just started in late May 2006. I set up two hives from Nuc's that are doing great. However a month or so later a friend called to see if I would help him remove a feral hive from between the floors of an apartment building. We captured a lot of bees with his bee vac but were unable to get the queen. I ordered a queen but it took almost two weeks to get it. This hive is still struggling. Would it be worth while to take some bees and brood from the other hives and reinforce this one. If so what would be the best method.

Take the frames of brood, minus the bees. Two frames work best, and just add them to the new hive. They will feed and cover the brood.
