I was wondering practically reverything about sending bees to California for almonds for the winter. What is the cost? How many hives? How helpful it is for yu and your bees. ETC. Thanks

Read the article on the Pros & cons of California almond pollination for the Midwestern beekeeper in the April 2005 issue of the American Bee Journal by Bob Harrison.
Bob Harrison
Is the author you speak of the same Bob Harrison
as you, or another "Bob Harrison" I've yet to meet?
Gettin' ready for apple deployment here,
did OK on overwintering, so I'm a happy
camper. Almonds? No thanks, my bees would
have to go through 3 time zones, and would
get "truck lag".
