Since the spring EAS Journal has gone to press, I can now reveal that EAS 2004 http://www.easternapiculture.org/programs/2004/
(August 9-13 at Seven Springs resort, just off the PA Turnpike) http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...22-4077&zoom=4
will host the 2004 “Bee-Quick 500” bee-lining competition.
No one may have ever told you, but bee-lining is a competitive sport, with
cash prizes, ribbons, trophies, and much more panache and style than boring
old honey shows.
The rules and other details can be found here: http://www.bee-quick.com/bee-quick/500
Wow! You must have a lot of time on your hands. That's quite a detailed web site. The "history" was quite good. I remember when Kenedy said that. I just wasn't sure what it meant at the time.
No big deal.
Threw the whole thing together in 5 hours
or so one evening.
The only "problem" was making everything
work at all the common screen resolutions
out there, which is a pain.
I really enjoyed orienteering before I got old and fat :> ) What a fantastic idea, and a chance to have some fun, even for an old and fat guy like me.
