    Hi, What can I do about aunts in my hives and not harm t he bees or honey

    Poison the ant nest. They are not living in your hive, but only collecting food in it.

    Put your hive on short legs with each leg in a tin can and add a little oil to each can and the ants won't cross it.

    seems like ants are more of a problem when the weather is wet and the ground soggy,i often have small dark ants set up on top of my inner cover and under the outer cover.they seem to be after a dry space more than trying to take over the colony,i usually try to brush them out as often as i can and alot of times that takes care of the problem.
