How long do I wait ?

I just hived a swarm on 5-17. I put them on empty pierco frames.Check them a few times and put on feeder they are fly good.

I for got to ask what i wanted. How long until i go in and check for wax,brood.

I would check them now to see that the queen had been relased. Try to disturb them as little as possible. You may be able to do all the checking you need without smoke since this is a small hive. Keep syrup in the feeder as long as they will take it or until the wax is all drawn out. You should also keep your entrance reducer in place for a while until the population is a bit larger.

I alway give my new splits, hived swarms, and packages a full 7 days to get settled in. As long as you see them flying, all should bee going well inside.
