Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms should be a convenience store not a government agency

How much does the hive weigh now? Is there still nectar coming in? How large is the cluster? I don't live in TN but HERE (Nebraska) I try to have between 100 and 150 pounds going into winter for a strong hive. 80 pounds would do for a small cluster.

2 parts white granulated sugar to 1 part water. By weight or volume. It doesn't matter. Call a pint of water a pound and a pint of sugar a pound and you can do it however is most convenient for you.

I boil the water and then add the sugar and then turn off the heat.
