Has anyone seen the extractor/ bottling tank setup on the back page of the Kelley Bee Supply Catalog 2004?
Last Friday I visited them to suggest some new changes to the setup. The 12 frame unit will now run on 110v, only have 1 heater, and the sump will be done away with, so will the capping smelter, and be replaced by a capping strainer tank that will act as a sump. The extractor will discharge directly into this tank, and then the honey will be pumped into the heated steeling tank, ready to bottle. This setup will now be on wheels, and will also come down in price.
This is great for Bee Clubs, and for beekeepers with 20 – 60 hives.
I do not get any commission from Kelley – I am just doing what I love and love what I do. Sharing my experience with other beekeepers world wide.
