I just had a new queen hatch in a 2 frame observ. hive, she's almost the size of a worker bee just a hair larger with the slender tail. I was wondering will she be ok or not.
To raise her I took 1 frame of eggs (newly laid) pollen & bees and put into observ. hive, in 3 days they had built queen cells and capped them, 8 days later she emerged.

Give her time to mate and see. Most queens are just fine. Usually they look small in the begining but when she gets to full laying she should look bigger. Leave things alone, the more one interferes the more problems that seem to crop up.

If they had her capped in three days it was an older egg. It may not be as good of a queen as cells that were capped later and therefore were made with younger eggs.
