Sometimes when I have some frames I want the bees to empty, I hesitate to set them out in the open, fearing getting a robbing frenzy started. So I put them in an empty hive body above the inner cover (with the hole open). Sometimes the bees will rob that honey and take it down into their hive but sometimes they don't. Can anyone tell me which outcome to expect and under what circumstances?
