I plan to produce some comb honey this year. I have been reading "Honey in the Comb" by Eugene Killion. Does anyone have any helpful hints in the production of comb honey?
Eugene Killion's book is excellent. Carl Killion's is even better.
So is Richard Taylor's book. A basic cut down split is the main issue. After that it's a matter of chosing your eqiupment. Ross Rounds, wood section boxes, cut comb etc.
The Hoggs comb sections are perhaps the easiest way of doing it, although Ross Rounds are cheaper. Here's a little pictorial tutor I did which will show you how to produce some comb. Also it shows how you can get the honey out of cappings if you don't want to make mead etc..
