Received a question on website from a person in Glendale, CA. She has a large colony of feral bees in her back yard and wants them removed but not killed.
Around here, we have beekeepers who will collect feral colonies but I am not sure what is done out west.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me to pass on to her?

Her best choice is to leave them alone if at all possible.
Otherwise your advice to locate a beekeeper is the only way. She can contact Chamber of Commerce, County Agent, or look for name and address of local beekeeper on honey for sale at farmers markets or on the shelves of small independent grocery stores.
