    William -

I know the feeling well! I love catching those swarms. To me, the highlight of beekeeping. I wish all my swarms where 3' off the ground. Have fun!

    Hi William/Barry:
This will be my first year experimenting with a home-made swarm trap modeled after the one in the March Issue of American Bee Journal. It has only been up for a couple of days, and already I have noticed a couple dozen bees flying around it. I imagine that if an actual swarm enters I will notice a lot more activity. I would love to hear any tips you all might have about hiving a swarm, etc..
    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards
    Gary
