Well, harvested my first batch of honey [ever] recently, and it was a lot of fun! We have 2 hives, and one hive never got to the point of filling a super, the other filled one super only. Got about 45 pounds!

When we looked at the honey, its unlike any honey I have seen: its a pale yellow, very clear, and is more like syrup in consistancy, not like store bought.

The taste is absolutly fantastic though, we did a taste comparison to some store bought and there was no comparison!

Any suggestions on how to identify what flowers made the honey?

We have a large lot in an area that is quickly turning into a suburb [no farms left now =/]

depends on what type of stuff you got blooming during the season.

or example, we have a lot of wild berries so our honeys from this part on the flats have a lot of berry flavor to it.
