Is there a method for trimming out damaged, misdrawn, or otherwise undesirable portions of a comb from a frame that will encourage the bees to rebuild it in decent condition?
For instance, one uses a diamond-shaped cut on a tree to encourage the bark to regrow...

Just remove the damaged portion with a sharp knife and they will fill it in as they see fit.
