It has been shown that % of drones are not tossed out. I believe Steve Taber wrote this info a few years back in ABJ.
I saw four drones on my hive entrance last night. They looked like they were standing guard or fanning. Upon closer inspection, I found they were all dead in their places.
It was pretty cold last night. Maybe they froze because they weren't allowed back in.
We had 3 nights in a row of freezing and in the 40s daytime high. Today it warmed up so I checked the hives and I still have quit a few drones?? I suppose my girls like company????
