has anyone ever heard of bees collecting pollen from grasses,some grasses have alot of it,but i've never seen bees use it.

I haven't noticed them using it, but I have noticed them collecting corn pollen before. My guess is it would be a last resort but they might use it if nothing else was available.
If they will take ground corn our of the feed bunk I am sure they will take grass pollen.
Well, corn is just a large grass plant and bees love corn pollen. I'll have to watch and see if they like Johnsongrass pollen.
Yes. I occasionally see them foraging on grass pollen during the summer doldrums, but I'm in south Alabama, might be different elsewhere.
