Here is the site from an old bee forum that I used to get a copy to read, it is 457 pages of late 1800 up to 1919 by DR C C Miller about wintering hives in basement, queen rearing, comb honey, I enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to trying some of the old recipes in the back of the book. http://www.soilandhealth.org/03sov/0...2homested.html

This one is a great read too: Freed, Dolly. Possum Living: How To Live Well Without A Job and With (almost) No Money. The down-home style belies a sharp mind and quick wit. Handy tips on home brewing, too!

Wow - I downloaded it this morning and have already spent an hour devouring it. A great read. Thank you Power Napper for sharing!
