This is probably a typical story. The neighbor of a neighbor learned we are keeping bees, so they called to offer up their old woodenware since they quit keeping bees a few years back. Of course the reason they quit is that mites (I'm guessing varoa) killed their hives. We picked up the boxes. Some look good - some look like good kindling. My question is, is there a standard to follow to fumigate (or whatever)used boxes to make sure I don't introduce something bad into my healthy hives?
Thanks,
Doug
