cleaning old frames

Can I put frames of honey which I extracted last year, but didn't clean, onto a hive for bees to clean this year? The foundation is still "wet", and some of the remaining honey has crystalized.

The way that I was taught... you sure can.
I have even used frames with a little mold on them. The bees will clean the frames to their own liking.
