From another thread that went a bit off-topic, Someone wrote about reversing hive bodies as a form of swarm control.
Delaplane, Bonney and Morse (all master beekeepers to me)have sections in their books about reversing and it merits.
I have always reversed in the spring and on several occasions reversed a few of weeks later. Appears to work fine for me.
Maybe it's just timing?
I think what they were talking about is reversing alot more than just once in the spring. Reversing once in the spring will put you queen back into the bottom of the hive. They are talking about reversing throughout the season to keep swarming down.
