Do I need more wire?

I have decided I had enough plastic and am putting together some medium frames with wax foundation. The wax sheets have vertical wire imbedded in them. I am using 1 support pin on each end. They are wedge-top wodden frames. Do I need more support than this?

You should be all set with just the vertical wires. You could add more but I don't think it's needed. One support pin should hold everything straight and then the bees will do the rest.

What's not to like about plastic?

I try not to put the foundation in until I need it. No matter how much you wire it ect. if the weather gets too hot and doesn't get drawn it will warp some. If you get the bees to draw it right away, I've done mediums with no wire, just the split pins, and extracted them (gently).
