Looks like a good crop of dandelion honey is possible from where I live. An 85 text: "Beekeeping in the midwest" says that dandeline makes a poor honey. They may be a little snooty in their outlook though.

My teacher says it's good enough. This book also finds goldenrod unappealing. Yet I tried that particular honey during the boom last fall. Sure it was a little strong, but good all the same. We can't get OB, Buck, CL, and SW all the time.

How does the board feel about dandelion?

Dandelion honey is "reported" to be bright yellow to deep amber and BITTER.

    Anyone ever had a "crop"?

Dandelion makes nectar? Whodathunkit? I was of the opinion it only made pollen.

Well I guess that makes sense. Dad used to pick the flowers for grandma's wine.
