    I like inspecting them early morning. The bees have woken up, and many are already out foraging, but the bees in the hive still seem to be more lazy than if I wait until late morning.

    I WANTED to inspect today, but the bees sounded so grouchy I just shut the hive up again.

    I guess they were still upset from last nights storm. The tornado sirens were on, and the thunder was pretty impressive.

    Typical springtime weather in Kansas.

    Yepper, the weather sure can get exciting round here...

    An astronomer I listen to says it could be pretty wild for another few weeks.

    Keep those heavy things on tops of your hives....

    I bought several of the polostyrene hives.
    I am a little worried about the wind blowing them over...they seem kinda light.
