When your ship comes in, make sure you are willing to unload it.
I have several blammer, I used to buy them. Now what I do is take some very fine screen and cut a two inch circle then cut a inch and a half circle out of the center of your pail lid. I lay the screen on the inside of the lid and with a red hot nail using the head melt the screen into the lid. Works real good. I make sure that all the wires are melted in so you don't rub your finger on them and get cut. Quite simple actually.

I just Closed out my comercial bee activity. Have 100 screen plugs from better bee. will sell at half price. most never used. they do work real well. If you only have a few hives, use a 2 litter coke bottle with small holes in cap. Be sure if bottle or pail is not full, to create a vacum by squezing air out befor inverting. Good luck
Focus on Bees: what gauge screen do you use and what material do you use i.e.: stainless steel.
The Busy Bee teaches two lessons: One is not to be idle and the other is not to get stung.
The screen that I have is stainless steel. I don't know what size it is, but I would say its about 4 or 5 times smaller than window screen.

jjgbee-how much?
focus on bees- where can you get this screen? would screen door screen work? or too big of holes?

I tried the pail feeding a year ago in the late fall and drowned my bees. I think the temp changes from overnight to the next day "pumped" the syrup onto the bees. The pails didn't leak after the initial dripping, but after a day or two I noticed syrup running out the front of the hive.

tug fork, something must not have been right, I have used them in the past and did not have any problems.Blammer, the window screen is too big. I would look for some from Grainger or Mcmaster-Carr. They should have it. I don't know much more about it other than that I got a chunk from work. I don't know what size it is or anything like that. You should be able to look those up online.

You don't need screens at all necessarily. You can drill a number of small holes and get the job done just fine.
