Are there any beekeeper meetings in the Saratoga Springs, Greenwich, Cambridge area?
As a beginner, I'd love to learn from other beeks in the area.

Ask Aaron about SABA... betterbee is in Greenwich
WOW!! 2 other beekeepers in Upstate NY.. WOW!!
Tomhannock not far from Troy WOW I thought I was living in black-hole of beekeeping in upstate NY
Common guys...there are more than just a 'few' of us here! The largest is near Amsterdam, with more than 1,000 colonies. There are 'quite a few' of us with 100-300 hives.
It constantly amazes me that so many strive to become beekeepers without subacribing to one of the two national magazines. American Beekeeping Journal (www.dadant.com) or Bee Culture (www.airoot.com) AND joining a local bee club.
Ann Frey is President of the Saratoga Area Beekeeping Association (SABA). Aaron Morris is one of the past Presidents. They have bi-monthly meetings and put on a spring seminar at SUNY that has top-notch speakers from all over the USA. Send me a PM for Anne's email address.

hi all,
For those of you closer to the Vermont border, there meetings in Bennington and Manchester on a regular basis. If anyone is interested let me know and I will provide information.
I know it is not a regular meeting, but Betterbee will be having our open house on July 15. Its an all day affair with speakers, lunch, and workshops.
On a broader scale, anyone interested in finding a local association should take a look at Bee Culture's website. They have a list of clubs and associations for each state. Dawn at BC tries very hard to keep it current. If you are looking for an association take a look (http://www.beeculture.com/content/whoswho/). If you are member of a club that is not listed or the info is incorrect, you should contact her.
Cheers,
Shane
