Newbee Question: The other day I noticed a large group of bees 'hovering' in front of the entrance of one of my hives. All were facing the front of the hive and some would land and take back off to hover again. After about thirty minutes I came back and they all were gone back in the hive. Was this a cleansing flight, did I have a hatch off? Is this something I should be concerned with?

Probably orientation flight for some new bees. (Newbies?) If it kept up I'd watch for robbing, but since it didn't I'd say it was just an orientation.
