What time of day do bees usually swarm?

Yesterday pm one hive, my best hive, had many bees flying around in front. There also were bees checking out the trap box, in a tree nearby. I determined they were about to swarm so I switched location with the poorest hive. They settled down.
Was i right, in your opinion, or was I just medeling at the expense of my best hive.?

The most likely swarm time is late morning to early afternoon.I just captured a swarm this weekend.Had out a couple of those round swarm traps that Mann Lake sells.Noticed bee activity at both of them and a couple days later all the activity was only at the one.didn't have time to check it till this weekend. When I opened it up it was about half full of bee's.Surprised me because it was so light.Transfered them to a hive and fed them, seem to be doing fine, house cleaning and bringing in pollen already.

I'd say most are between 10 am and 1 pm but that's not a hard fast rule.
