I am hanging small cell foundation in a hodge podge of frames.

My frustration is the lack of adhesion to the bars. The wax seems to easily seperate from the foundation and if I "overdo" it a bit it melts clear through.

Do I only "weld" the top bar? I have been doing a full bead along the top and spot welds along the bottom. I have shoved a small nail through the wiring holes and spot welded it to the foundation to cut down on the wavy nature.

Does the fact that the foundation bows out a bit in the center matter??

Should I order wire and go the wiring route?

    And what about Naeomi???

    Bruce,

I put a bead in on either side of the foundation along the top bar. I have also found that I can't avoid the foundation "bowing" unless I wire and embed the foundation.

I might try starter strips next year.

Thanks Rob.......... I'll have to order wire.

Is there a wire available in hardware stores that would work??

I take it the bowing is unacceptable??

Not really. I'd order the stainless steel from Glorybee. Everything else that I've every tried breaks too easily

It depends on how much. The more it bows the more crooked the combs are.
