mites treatment

Hi, everybody,
I'd like to know the real effective methods of treat mites,and the habits and characteristics of trachael mites. f.g it's life circle ,phototaxis ,temperature, and where does it parasit?

Yongsunn, I don't know too much about it myself..

I just give them menthol if they need it for trach mites....

I've not noticed trach mites in my bees yet but I do add menthol from time to time just for the heck of it.

Last year, I applied it once to two of my hives... I don't think they needed it though.

I begin treating my hives in Aug. here in Kansas.
